Week 1 - The Kettlebell Swing

In the first class of the course, we cover the basics of a solid bilateral hinge, ensuring we can find stability and control as we move. We then piece together a foundational kettlebell movement 'the swing'. We look at the differences we may need to consider specific to us for the set up, some asymmetrical considerations that are common to most of us as well as the basic elements of the technique. Setting us up n nicely for the next class where we begin to refine things and build workouts around it.
EQUIPMENT:
- Kettlebells - Light and Moderate options.
- A mat.
- An exercise band.
- An anchor point (optional).
- A pilates ball, foam roller (or similar).
- Some wall space.
