This tutorial is designed specifically for those of you who are very new to positional breathing work and have a hard time sensing hamstrings in a hooklying position. Hamstrings are stabilizers of the pelvis and thus it is extremely important that we have good neuromuscular control of them. This can be tricky especially when one has overly lengthened hamstrings via tons of stretching. In this 10 minute class we will gradually learn how to sense and initiate a posterior pelvic tilt from the hamstrings. This is a great class if you tend to feel your hipflexors work whenever you try to tilt your pelvis.
