Move - Week 1
Restorative Strength
•
43m
In this 4 week block the focus is on getting our body moving! While it is extremely important to learn to stabilise yourself in static positions, we also want to practice stabilising ourselves through dynamic movements. In this 4 class series we will move the majority of the class. A large focus will be sensing movement as an interplay between loading and unloading, tensing and releasing tension. This is key if we want to move efficiently, get stronger in the right places and not feel more tense after a workout. Throughout the class we will pay special attention to HOW we are stabilising and breathing.
Equipment:
-A Mat
-A rolled up towel
-Something to slide on: towel on hardwood floor, or paper plate on carpet
-Some wall space
-2 yoga blocks or books
-Optional but highly recommended: supportive shoes
